The ASX opened in the red, with Energy stocks leading the market lower.

The stocks showing the biggest gains at the open are: Infratil leading the Large Caps, followed by Fletcher Building in the Mid Caps, GreenX Metals leads the Small Caps, and Genetic Technologies is topping the Micro Caps.

The biggest losers at the beginning of the session are Cleanaway Waste which is the worst Large Cap, Gold Road Resources is the lowest Mid Cap, the worst performing Small Cap is Lion One Metals, and Micro-Cap is First Au.

A spotlight on American West Metals. Their share price is being pushed up as the market anticipates further assays confirming copper intersections at their Storm Copper Project in Canada, following those announced a fortnight ago.

And despite the dip in energy this morning, Red Sky Energy is in a trading frenzy.
