    ASX lower; Little Green Pharma capital raise; US water treatment facility hijacked

    Tech stocks are 0.22% higher, with Afterpay, Appen and Nextdc offsetting losses from EML Payments, Iress and Altium.

    The Australian market is 0.58% lower in morning trade at 6840.80 points, dragged by the utilities sector.

    Challenger is down 14.47% on an earnings update showing a 29% decline in first-half profits.

    Bitcoin is trading at US$46,228.10 at 2:30pm AEDT.

    Making headlines, Aussie medicinal cannabis producer Little Green Pharma is preparing to raise AUD$22M in capital at 65c per share with the funds raised to be used for marketing and manufacturing. This follows the company announcing it has shipped its first exports of cannabis flower medicines to Germany.

    New BNPL player in Southeast Asia, IOU Pay, has inked a merchant referral agreement with Malaysia-based EasyStore, which services 7000 merchants across Southeast Asia. In the competitive BNPL market, IOU Pay posted an first-half operating cash loss of AUD$1.6M on revenue of AUD$3.3M.

    And a hacker has hijacked the water treatment facility software in the City of Oldsmar, Florida, and tried to drive up the sodium hydroxide levels in the water to a poisonous level. Authorities are investigating as the hacked plant controls water treatment for the majority of the city?s businesses and 15,000 residents? supplies.
