    ASX lithium stocks surge

    Australian lithium stocks are surging today after Macquarie rated South America-based lithium producer Alkem an ?outperform?.

    Shares of Allkem (ASX:AKE) have risen 4.4% at the open.

    ?AKE continues to highlight the tripling of production by 2026 to 120ktpa and has highlighted that numerous studies are underway to target the next leg of growth beyond 2026,? the bank said.

    Shares of Core Lithium (ASX:CXO) are up more than 5%, and shares of Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA) are almost 8% higher.
