ASX Futures pointing higher after Dow Jones closed up 1.8%

The ASX Futures is trading up 41 points, or 0.6% higher ahead of the market open in Sydney.

It follows the Dow Jones, which rose 1.8% to finish the trading day up 599 points to close at 33,544 points.

Earlier, markets in Europe had a strong session as London?s FTSE and Germany?s DAX finished the trading day lower.

The Australian dollar is buying 71.94 US cents.

Gold is trading at US$1,917 per ounce.

WTI Crude oil is selling for US$94.71 per barrel, while Brent oil is trading at US$96.30 per barrel.

The spot price for iron ore is US$139.50 per metric tonne and one bitcoin is worth US$39,588 going into the Asian trading day.
