The tech sector finished the session lower as Nuix nose dived nearly 18% while Link Administration Holdings shed almost 7%.
Bitcoin is down 1.82% this afternoon trading around US$34,969.70 at 4:20pm AEST.
News Corp shares took a hit today after the Sydney Morning Herald reported the news giant is in talks with wagering powerhouse Matthew Tripp, major shareholder in BetMakers, to launch FOX Bet Australia, a betting division run by News Corp. BetMakers may have involvement through providing the backend systems required for FOX Bet to launch in Australia.
Making headlines, Australian-based financial services IOOF Holdings has successfully completed its acquisition of Australian superannuation leader MLC in a bid for IOOF to position itself as the leader of a new era of wealth management in Australia.
And Harvey Norman has taken a stance to block unhappy employees on Twitter after some took to the social media platform to voice their dismay over wages, after a weekend of protests outside stores across Australia.
