      The ASX closed up 17.10 points with the Betashares Australian Resources Sector ETF sector leading the charge.

      Of the 50 largest stocks, the most movement has been from James Hardie Industries (ASX:JHX.asx) which closed 3.54% higher.

      In number 2 spot is Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG.asx) which closed the session up by 2.77%.

      Woodside Energy Group (ASX:WDS.asx) rounds out the top 3 moving up 2.76%.

      As the top 50 largest companies comprise almost 60% of the total market, any big changes to their share price may influence the overall market.

      The biggest winner on the ASX today was Mamba Exploration (ASX:M24.asx) - which finished 86.67% higher.

      The biggest loser by the close was Classic Minerals (ASX:CLZ.asx) - falling by 50%.
