The ASX closed up 38.70 points with the Energy sector leading the charge.

Of the 50 largest stocks, the most movement has been from Santos (ASX:STO.asx) which closed 2.52% higher.

In number 2 spot is Qbe Insurance (ASX:QBE.asx) which closed the session up by 2.28%.

Endeavour Group (ASX:EDV.asx) rounds out the top 3 moving up 1.97%.

As the top 50 largest companies comprise almost 60% of the total market, any big changes to their share price may influence the overall market.

The biggest winner on the ASX today was Pnx Metals (ASX:PNX.asx) - which finished 50% higher.

The biggest loser by the close was Bravura Solutions (ASX:BVS.asx) - falling by 54.12%.
