ASX (ASX:ASX) ASX Group Monthly Activity Report - February 2023

The ASX Group Monthly Activity Report for February 2023 shows a 98% decrease in capital raised compared to the previous corresponding period, with the average daily number of trades down 28%.

Futures and options total trading days was up 7%, single stock options average daily contracts traded were down 5%, and index options average daily contracts traded were up 1%.

Notional cleared value of OTC interest rate derivative contracts centrally cleared was 95% higher than the previous corresponding period.

Participant margin balances held on balance sheet at month-end totalled $12.2 billion in February 2023, compared to $11.9 billion in February 2022.

The value of securities held in CHESS was 3% higher and the number of dominant settlement messages was 7% lower than the previous corresponding period.
