Arizona Lithium received approval from the US Bureau of Land Management for a permit of exploration at its Big Sandy Lithium Project in Arizona, USA.

The approval allows for the commencement of a 131-hole drill program and bulk sample extraction in July, following a 30-day appeal period.

The planned drill program aims to expand the project's current indicated and inferred JORC resource of 32.5 million tonnes grading 1,850 ppm lithium, representing 320,800 tonnes of Li2CO3.

The initiative follows the 2019 drill program which included 37 diamond holes intersecting up to 66m of lithium mineralisation.

The project aims to develop its lithium resource while maintaining a low environmental footprint.
