If you?re a student and you?re trying to make a bit of extra dosh on your old textbooks, I?ve got some bad news for you all. British textbook publisher, Pearson, has decided that they are planning on using NFTs for their digital textbooks so they can still make revenue off the second-hand book market.

Their CEO, Andy Bird, reckons the NFTs will help keep track of sales and recoup revenue that would have otherwise been lost after the primary sale. In short, they want to make money on all their digital products for as long as they?re in existence.

NFTs aren?t the only Web3 tech Pearson are exploring, Bird also said that the textbook company will be looking into potential pathways to the metaverse.
