The Arbitrum Foundation has approved a major initiative to boost gaming within its ecosystem, allocating 225 million Arbitrum (CRYPTO:ARB) tokens, valued at approximately $215 million, for the Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP).
The program, which received over 75% approval from voters on June 7, aims to increase the use of Arbitrum, Orbit, and Stylus among game developers and players.
The GCP will distribute funds over three years, with grants of up to 500,000 ARB for new and early-stage developers, while more established developers can apply for investments involving value shares.
A dedicated team will manage the program's daily operations, guided by a five-member council with expertise in gaming, venture capital, and DAO governance.
The council will ensure effective fund allocation, maintaining innovation and accountability within the program.
