Aptos Labs intends to leverage Microsoft's AI tools to enhance Web3 adoption within the financial sector.

This collaboration will enable the integration of Microsoft's Azure OpenAI service into the Aptos Network, fostering advancements in asset tokenization, on-chain payments, and central bank digital currencies.

The partnership will facilitate the implementation of an Aptos Assistant, guiding users through the transition from Web2 to Web3.

Additionally, it will fortify Aptos Network's security by deploying validator nodes on Azure.

In response to this development, the Aptos token (APT) exhibited an initial 15% surge to $7.70. However, it remains 62.9% below its peak value of $19.92 recorded in January 2023.

Founded by former Meta employees Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching, the Aptos network was launched on October 17, 2022, following a four-year development period.

The company secured funding of $150 million in July 2022 and an additional $200 million in March 2022 from notable investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase Ventures, and FTX Ventures.
