The US markets rose slightly on Friday to close out a strong month of October as investor confidence was boosted by the release of strong corporate quarterly earnings results. Apple shares took a hit on Friday after the tech giant released fourth quarter results. Pfizer rallied on Friday after the US FDA authorised Pfizer and BioNTech?s COVID-19 vaccine for administration in children aged 5-11 years old. A 17-year-old UK student who has been stuck in the US due to COVID travel restrictions, has spent her time in lockdown making an app called SignUp.
