Ansell Ltd?s has reported a 36% drop in net profit after tax to $US158.7 million for financial year 2022.
The Australia-listed firm said the falling sales were mainly a result of lower demand for COVID-19-related personal protective equipment.
The medical glove and surgical suits maker also recognised US$17 million of one-off expenses from its decision to stop its Russian commercial and manufacturing operations.
?Despite these complexities, we have retained focus on the long-term strategies that will drive Ansell?s success. We saw strong results from emerging markets as we continued to invest in these regions?, said Managing Director and CEO Neil Salmon.
Ansell?s share price surged 9.47% in morning trade.
