Metals developer and explorer Alara Resources announced the acquisition of an additional 1,452 km2 exploration block in Oman, named "Block 22-B," by its joint venture company.
The agreement grants exclusive rights for exploration, appraisal, development, and mining within the new area, with a two-year exploration phase and potential for a fifteen-year exploitation phase, extendable upon reasonable justifications.
The expanded Block 22-B includes Alara's existing Wash-hiāMajaza copper-gold mine and offers the potential for discovering additional minerals near the company's processing facilities.
