African Gold (ASX:A1G) has announced exploration on the Agboville project in Cote d'Ivoire has discovered large outcropping pegmatite mineralisation, together with coincident lithium, caesium, tantalum and rubidium anomalism in stream sediment samples.

African Gold says stream sediment results have confirmed anomalism across two zones totaling over 150 square kilometres coincident to the observed pegmatites.

It also says pegmatite rock chip samples collected by African Gold have been submitted for analysis.

African Gold's Managing Director Phillip Gallagher says in addition to the exciting potential for lithium mineralisation, it's still confident of the Agboville project's gold prospectivity, as shown by the anomalous gold results from the stream sediment sampling.
