      Investors sharply sold out of Lake Resources shares today after the lithium explorer responded to a scathing report from short-seller J Capital on Tuesday. Lake said the report by J Capital puts forth incorrect information on technical matters and inaccurate assertions on Lake Resources? progress to-date with its technology partner Lilac Solutions.

      On the other hand, investors piled into Carnaby Resources shares today after the copper and gold exploration and development company announced an exploration update for the Great Duchess Copper Gold project in Mt Isa, Queensland, outlining that IP surveys at Mount Hope have revealed very large and extremely strong IP chargeability anomaly at Mt Hope North.

      Better-than-expected unemployment data for June released today boosted investor confidence as the ASX extended the green streak into Thursday, closing the session just under half a percent higher led by strong gains for technology, resources and mining stocks.
