88 Energy commenced its 2D seismic acquisition program for petroleum exploration licence 93 in the Owambo Basin, Namibia.

The project involves acquiring approximately 200 line km of seismic data and is expected to be completed by the third quarter.

The company has earned an initial 20% working interest in PEL 93 by funding the seismic program.

The acquired data will be crucial in validating up to ten independent structural closures identified through prior airborne gravity and magnetic surveys.

Further stages of farm-in activities could see 88 Energy increasing its stake to 45%. Data processing is anticipated to be finalised by the fourth quarter, with the results integrated into existing exploration data.
