Australian respiratory imaging technology firm 4DMedical (ASX:4DX) has given further details on its Software as a Service (SaaS) contract with the University of Miami.

The company will receive a guaranteed minimum of $1M - 1.5M over the five-year term, with additional fees for extra scans beyond the minimum amount.

The SaaS scans will provide insights into patients' lung function and aid in early detection of respiratory diseases.

4DMedical has also appointed Dr David Shulkin, a former secretary of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, as an advisor.
