4DMedical (ASX:4DX) has announced the receipt of $9.4M after successfully meeting product development milestones associated with its $28.9M grant from the Federal Government?s Medical Research Future Fund.

4DMedical is a respiratory imaging technology company that?s created the world?s first dedicated lung scanner, the XV scanner, integrating its XV Technology software.

The device provides detailed quantitative data on respiratory function via an automated scanning process for children, the elderly, and the very unwell.

4Dmedical says an XV Scanner is currently on display at its booth at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America in Chicago.
