    'Crypto Dad' J. Christopher Giancarlo joins Paxos board

    Former CFTC Chair J. Christopher Giancarlo, renowned as 'Crypto Dad', has recently been appointed to the board of directors at crypto firm Paxos, marking a significant development in his ongoing engagement with the digital currency space.

    Beyond his role at the Digital Dollar Project and as an advisory board member for the Chamber of Digital Commerce, Giancarlo’s latest position at Paxos underscores his deep-rooted involvement in cryptocurrency and blockchain advocacy.

    Paxos, known for its U.S. dollar-pegged Pax Dollar (CRYPTO:USDP) and for issuing PayPal's PYUSD (CRYPTO:PYUSD) stablecoin, welcomed Giancarlo to contribute to its expansion in regulated crypto markets and its innovative efforts in stablecoins.

    Expressing alignment with Paxos’s goals, Giancarlo emphasised his commitment to leveraging his regulatory expertise to further the firm's mission in transforming traditional finance into a more efficient and inclusive system.
