Variability is the degree to which a set of data points (or a single entity) differ from each other. It is the measure of how spread out the values are.

For example, the heights of a group of people can be used to measure variability. The greater the difference between the tallest and the shortest, the greater the variability.

This can be quantified using the formula: Range = Maximum - Minimum.
