Overdraft

Overdraft is a credit facility that allows a customer to withdraw funds from their account beyond the current balance.

For example: if a customer has $100 in their bank account, but needs $200 for an emergency purchase, a bank may allow the customer to overdraw their account up to $200, thus providing the customer with a $100 loan to cover the purchase.
