Ethereum
Ethereum is a decentralised platform that runs smart contracts: applications that run exactly as programmed without any possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third-party interference.
It was created by Vitalik Buterin in 2015, and is now one of the largest blockchain networks in the world.
Ethereum can be used to create and manage digital assets such as tokens, digital currencies, and property rights, and create contracts and applications that run on the Ethereum blockchain.
Ethereum's native cryptocurrency is called Ether (ETH), which is used to power transactions and pay for network fees. Ether is also used as a store of value and a speculative investment asset.
