YZi Labs, led by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, has made an eight-figure investment in onchain trading terminal Genius Trading.
The deal highlights rising investor interest in cross-chain trading infrastructure as activity spreads across multiple blockchains.
Changpeng Zhao will join Genius Trading as an adviser following the investment.
YZi Labs said the move reflects a shift toward execution-focused tools rather than liquidity alone in decentralised finance.
Genius Trading is a trading interface that aggregates execution across blockchains and decentralised venues rather than operating as a DEX.
The platform said it processed more than $160 million in trading volume across ten blockchains before its public launch.
Genius Trading supports spot trading, perpetual futures and copy trading, according to the announcement.
YZi Labs said more trading activity is moving from centralised exchanges to decentralised platforms.
The firm noted that public blockchains create challenges for large trades due to transparency and signalling risks.
YZi Labs manages about $10 billion in assets and focuses on early-stage investments in Web3, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
