The layer-1 Sui blockchain returned to full operations after a six-hour outage that halted transactions across the network.
The Sui Foundation confirmed the disruption at 3:24pm UTC, saying core developers were actively working on a fix.

The Sui Foundation said.
The foundation said it began investigating the issue at 2:52pm UTC and resolved it at 8:44pm UTC, restoring activity after 5 hours and 52 minutes.
No details were provided on the cause of the reported “consensus outage” that locked more than $1 billion in on-chain value.
The incident marked Sui’s second major outage since its launch in May 2023, following a similar disruption in November 2024.
Other high-speed blockchains such as Solana have faced past outages, though none have occurred on its network in the last 18 months.
Solana has previously issued emergency validator updates, including a recent call to install critical patches.
Sui’s SUI token briefly rose about 4% on the outage news before settling near $1.84, according to CoinGecko data.
At the time of reporting, Sui price was $1.83.
