A forensic analysis of the phone belonging to Mauricio Novelli reportedly uncovered a draft document describing a potential $5 million agreement connected to Javier Milei’s promotion of the Libra token.

The document, recovered during a judicial investigation, outlined a three-part payment structure totaling $5 million, according to reports from Argentine media outlet El Destape.

“Hello friends, this is the final agreement discussed with H,”

The note reportedly stated, which investigators believe may reference crypto entrepreneur Hayden Davis.

The draft described payments including $1.5 million upfront, another $1.5 million tied to Milei publicly acknowledging Davis as an adviser, and a further $2 million linked to a consulting agreement involving blockchain or artificial intelligence initiatives.

Investigators said the note was dated Feb. 11, 2025, three days before Milei posted about the Libra token on the social platform X.

A separate draft message found on Novelli’s phone reportedly outlined a crisis response intended to address the backlash after the Libra promotion sparked controversy online.

The Libra token briefly surged to a market capitalisation of about $4 billion following Milei’s post before crashing by roughly 94% within hours.

The collapse wiped out approximately $250 million from more than 40,000 retail investors and prompted opposition lawmakers in Argentina to call for Milei’s impeachment.
