HEICO (NYSE:HEI) announced on April 7, 2026, that its Flight Support Group has acquired an 80% stake in Sherwood Avionics and Accessories, a prominent Florida-based provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.

While the specific financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, HEICO management stated that they expect the acquisition to be accretive to earnings within the first year following the close.

Sherwood Avionics, an FAA and EASA Part 145 certified repair station, operates approximately 70,000 square feet of production space across two adjacent facilities and employs a workforce of roughly 150 specialists.

The acquisition significantly broadens HEICO’s internal capabilities across several high-growth MRO categories.

Sherwood is a recognized specialist in the repair and overhaul of auxiliary power units (APUs), landing gear, wheels, brakes, and a wide array of mission-critical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, fuel, lighting, and avionics components.

In keeping with HEICO’s successful historical acquisition model, Sherwood will maintain its operational independence and leadership.

Bryan Farrell, who has been instrumental in the company’s growth, will continue to lead the business as its President and will retain the remaining 20% equity stake in the firm.
