Games Workshop said it will not use generative artificial intelligence in the design or creation of Warhammer 40,000 content.
The UK tabletop gaming company outlined the policy in its half-yearly report released this week.
Chief executive Kevin Rountree said the company has adopted a cautious internal approach to artificial intelligence.
We do not allow AI-generated content or AI to be used in our design processes.
Kevin Rountree said.
Rountree added that the policy also covers unauthorised AI use involving Games Workshop intellectual property.
The company said it will continue to prioritise human creators across art, writing and sculpting roles.
Games Workshop reported £332.1 million in revenue and £140.4 million in operating profit for the 26 weeks to 30 November 2025.
Rountree said the company remains concerned about data compliance, security and governance risks linked to AI tools.
We will be maintaining a strong commitment to protect our intellectual property and respect our human creators.
Kevin Rountree said.
The company said it is expanding its in-house creative teams rather than automating production.
