Employment Hero and Seek (ASX:SEK) have agreed to resolve a legal dispute that began in mid-June, with Employment Hero set to regain access to Seek’s API.
The dispute arose after Employment Hero sued Seek for alleged misuse of market power, claiming it was unfairly denied API access.
Seek countered, accusing Employment Hero of improperly collecting applicant data from job listings posted through its platform.
In a joint statement, Employment Hero acknowledged that Seek’s June 24, 2025 notice terminating API access was "not one of substantially lessening competition," as previously claimed, and confirmed it would comply with Seek’s terms and conditions to restore API functionality.
The Federal Court had earlier allowed temporary API access during proceedings, which is now set to end.
"Seek is pleased that the litigation has now ended and is satisfied with the outcome," a Seek spokesperson said.
At the time of reporting, Seek's share price was $23.12.
