Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) announced an expansion of its international portfolio with two new remote weapon system orders.
The larger of the two is a $17 million contract to supply R400 RWS units equipped with 30mm cannons to a government within the Middle Eastern GCC region.
The deal, made with an established customer, is intended to bolster national defence capabilities amidst rising regional tensions.
Delivery of the hardware and associated support services is scheduled to take place across 2026 and 2027.
Simultaneously, EOS has achieved a strategic breakthrough in the Indian market with its first sale to the country’s defence industry.
The company will provide one naval R800 RWS unit to a major Indian prime contractor for a value between $1 million and $2 million.
The initial unit is designated for evaluation, including platform integration services and trial support.
While the Indian order is smaller in immediate value, it represents a critical foothold in a high-growth market.
The prime contractor is currently competing for a larger end-user requirement exceeding 130 systems.
EOS will collaborate closely with the contractor throughout the 2026–2027 trial phase to demonstrate the heavy-calibre system's performance.
Although this marks the second global sale of the new R800 for evaluation purposes, the company maintains a cautious outlook, noting there is no guarantee of follow-on orders despite the scale of the potential total requirement.
