Diablo Resources (ASX:DBO) announced a major operational leap forward at its two flagship, 100%-owned projects in Utah, USA, signaling a robust start to its 2026 exploration season.
The company has secured a geophysical contractor to begin work this February at the high-priority North Star target (STAR-01), located within the Star Range Silver-Antimony Project.
The phase will involve an induced polarisation survey to pinpoint drill targets beneath surface rock samples that have yielded exceptional grades exceeding 3,000 g/t Ag.
Geologists believe the STAR-01 magnetic anomaly represents a significant intrusive-sediment contact, highly prospective for skarn and carbonate-replacement mineralisation.
Diablo is celebrating a breakthrough at its Phoenix Copper Project. Recent "scout" drilling at the Fair Dinkum prospect has confirmed shallow copper oxide mineralisation that remains open both along strike and at depth.
The discovery is strategically significant; Fair Dinkum sits within the same geological sequence as the prolific Lisbon Valley Copper Mine, a world-class district currently producing 740Mlb of copper.
Exploration has already traced the copper-mineralised Flying Diamond Fault for over 1,000m, providing a wealth of follow-up drill targets.
At the time of reporting, Diablo Resources' share price was $0.22.
