Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) announced an expansion of its district-scale Music Valley Heavy Rare Earth Project in California.
The company has staked an additional 16,380 acres of land, a move that substantially increases its footprint in a region increasingly recognised for its heavy rare earth potential.
The expansion follows preliminary geophysics and mapping which suggest the project area may share geological similarities with the nearby Mountain Pass mine, the only operating rare earth mine in the United States.
The newly acquired acreage was secured through the Bureau of Land Management, positioning Dateline as a major player in the domestic American rare earth supply chain.
Exploration is already underway at Music Valley, with the company focusing on identifying high-grade targets within the expanded boundaries.
The project sits alongside the company's other California-based assets, including the Colosseum Gold-REE Project and the Argos Strontium Project.
Commenting on the expansion, Dateline's Managing Director, Stephen Baghdadi, noted the strategic importance of the land grab.
Dateline's Managing Director, Stephen Baghdadi, commented, "This expansion provides us with a district-scale opportunity in a Tier-1 jurisdiction that is hungry for domestic sources of heavy rare earths."
