Crypto market prices were volatile in 2025, but underlying infrastructure, access and regulation showed meaningful improvement, according to Binance Research.
Bitcoin traded between a low of $76,000 in April and a record high above $126,000 in October amid sharp market swings.
Binance said regulatory clarity improved through frameworks such as the GENIUS Act in the United States and Europe’s MiCA rules.
The firm noted that these developments helped position stablecoins as essential global settlement infrastructure.
“Stablecoins are increasingly a default medium of exchange inside crypto markets and a practical rail for cross-border settlement,”
Binance said.
Regulated investment products, including exchange-traded funds, expanded in structure and scale, strengthening institutional access to crypto.
More than 190 publicly listed companies adopted digital asset strategies in 2025 by adding crypto holdings to their balance sheets.
Binance said major US banks moved closer to crypto-backed lending by piloting Bitcoin-backed credit products.
“These offerings allow clients to borrow cash while holding their Bitcoin long-term, thereby avoiding taxable sales,”
Binance said.
On-chain activity remained resilient, with active addresses peaking above 300 million before settling near 230 million by year-end.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $95,619.57.
