GSK agreed to buy Nuvalent in a deal valued at $10.6 billion, adding a biotech firm that's developing treatments for lung cancer as the British pharmaceutical company seeks to rebuild its oncology franchise. Sam Fazeli of Bloomberg Intelligence has more.

Intesa Sanpaolo offered to buy Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena for 30.6 billion ($35.3 billion). The Milan-based bank will offer 1.6 of its own shares and 1 in cash for each Monte Paschi share. The bid comes the day after Banco BPM pitched its own merger with Monte Paschi, considered to be the world's oldest bank. Bloomberg's Manuel Baigorri reports.

SpaceX is seeking to raise $75 billion in an initial public offering that would be the biggest of all time. Elon Musk's rocket, satellite and artificial intelligence company plans to market about 555.6 million shares for $135 each, according to its filing Wednesday with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Bloomberg's Manuel Baigorri reports.

Miriam Wheeler, Goldman Sachs global head of leverage finance, says investors are focused on hard assets associated with the infrastructure buildout of artificial intelligence and this is a "generational opportunity." Elon Musk said he's back in Texas working on plans for an initial public offering of SpaceX as the company prepares for the largest listing of all time. "We've got to get the SpaceX IPO going pretty soon," Musk said during a virtual appearance at the Samson International Smart Mobility Summit in Tel Aviv. SpaceX could file for an initial public offering as soon as this week, people familiar with the matter said. Bloomberg's Charlie Wells reports.

Artificial intelligence chipmaker Cerebras raised $5.55 billion in its US initial public offering. The company priced its shares at $185 each, giving Cerebras a market value of about $40 billion, based on the shares offered and outstanding in its filings. Bloomberg's Neil Campling reports.

Commerzbank CEO Bettina Orlopp discusses the company's performance as the lender lifted its guidance for profit this year and outlined more job cuts. Orlopp also discusses the hostile takeover attempt by UniCredit, saying it would put a lot of revenue at risk. She speaks on Bloomberg Television.

Italian cable maker Prysmian is scouting the market for a potential acquisition, Chief Executive Officer Massimo Battaini told Bloomberg TV on Tuesday. Potential targets could be similar in size to Encore Wire acquired in 2024 with an enterprise value of around 4 billion ($4.68 billion). Battaini spoke on "The Pulse with Francine Lacqua" on Bloomberg TV.
