Acacia Research (NASDAQ:ACTG), a diversified holding company that acquires and operates businesses across the industrial and technology sectors, reported fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results on Wednesday.

The company achieved a notable turnaround, swinging to a net profit for both the quarter and the full year as its portfolio of operating companies and intellectual property assets delivered consistent returns.

For the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2025, the New York-based firm reported net income of $3.4 million, or $0.04 per share, compared to a net loss during the same period in 2024.

When adjusted for one-time gains and costs associated with its ongoing acquisition strategy, earnings stood at $0.03 per share.

Revenue for the three-month period reached $50.1 million, reflecting a steady contribution from its core business units.

On a full-year basis, Acacia’s performance was even more robust.

The company reported a 2025 net income of $21.7 million, or $0.22 per share, a significant recovery from its prior-year losses.

Total annual revenue hit $285.2 million, supported by the integration of recent industrial acquisitions and a disciplined approach to licensing its vast patent portfolio.
