Macron Calls for Regulation of Cutting-Edge AI Models

French President Emmanuel Macron led talks with Group of Seven leaders and tech executives on Wednesday to explore how to deploy the most advanced artificial intelligence models through so-called trusted partners. Speaking at a news conference in Evian, Macron warned of the dangers of cutting-edge AI models falling into the hands of "authoritarian regimes."
