Cryptocurrency is becoming a more prominent issue in the 2026 US midterm elections after a new DCG-Harris Poll found that 40% of registered voters now view digital asset policy as a major election issue.

Jared Bernstein, former chair at the Council of Economic Advisors and now a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, discusses the role of economic issues in the upcoming primary elections. With several states, including California, holding primaries on June 2nd, Bernstein addresses whether economic concerns are motivating voters to participate in the primaries.
