Janison Education (ASX:JAN) has secured a significant five-year contract with the New Zealand Ministry of Education, valued at approximately $21 million, to deliver the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool.
The initiative will support twice-yearly bilingual assessments for students in Years 3 to 10 across reading, writing, maths, pānui, tuhituhi, and pāngarau, providing a comprehensive framework for monitoring, assessing, and reporting student learning progress across Aotearoa.
The SMART platform will be delivered via Janison's secure and scalable online assessment system, offering a long-term digital foundation for national assessments.
Work commenced under a bridging contract in July and will now continue under the full five-year agreement, with Year 1 revenue expected to be around $3 million.
Additional services and project components may be commissioned throughout the contract term via statements of work.
Janison CEO Sujata Stead described the agreement as "one of Janison's most significant international wins," highlighting the company’s growing role in delivering scalable, culturally responsive digital assessment solutions beyond Australia.
