INSEE, from France, releases the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key indicator monitoring price movements and purchasing trends through comparing retail prices of a standard basket of goods and services. Inflation can decrease the Euro's purchasing power. A high CPI is typically viewed as positive for the Euro, while a low reading could be negative.
