Catalina Resources (ASX:CTN) has recommenced reverse circulation drilling at its Evanston Gold Project, located in the Central Yilgarn region of Western Australia, as part of its Phase 1 exploration campaign.
The program is focused on testing priority structural and geochemical targets along the Evanston and Yerilgee corridors, including Leghorn, Viper South, and T1B at Evanston, and T8, Chicken Little, and Snowflake at Yerilgee.
The company plans to mobilise a second RC rig to accelerate progress and enable multiple targets to be drilled in parallel.
All drill samples are being collected on a continuous metre-by-metre basis and dispatched to laboratories on a rolling schedule.
Assay results are awaited and will be integrated with geological modelling to refine targets and guide follow-up drilling.
Catalina Executive Director Ross Cotton said, "Restarting drilling at Evanston and deploying a second rig reflects the growing scale of opportunity across the project area. With multiple priority targets now defined, we can advance drilling more rapidly and test several targets in parallel. Assay results will drive rapid follow-up drilling across the most prospective areas at Evanston and Yerilgee as the company moves toward the next phase of exploration.”
