Trust Wallet said its browser extension on the Google Chrome Web Store is temporarily unavailable due to a platform bug.
Trust Wallet chief executive Eowyn Chen said the issue delayed the release of a new version containing reimbursement tools.

So far, we’ve identified 2,596 affected wallet addresses.

She added that around 5,000 claims were received, indicating false or duplicate submissions.
Chen warned users to remain alert to fake Trust Wallet extensions while the official version is offline.
Trust Wallet suffered a Christmas hack that drained more than $7 million in user funds.
The company has committed to reimbursing users impacted by the exploit.
The incident renewed concerns over security risks tied to browser-based crypto wallets.
Trust Wallet’s post-mortem report linked the breach to the Sha1-Hulud supply chain exploit.
The report said leaked GitHub secrets allowed attackers to access source code and API keys.
This kind of ‘hack’ is not natural.
