
Bitcoin climbed above $93,000 on Monday as geopolitical tensions rose following comments from US President Donald Trump.
Trump suggested Colombia and Mexico could face US military action after the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
He accused Colombia of allowing cocaine flows into the United States and criticised President Gustavo Petro.
Colombia is very sick, too, run by a sick man, who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States.

Asked about possible military intervention, Trump added, “It sounds good to me,” Donald Trump said.
Trump also warned that action may be required in Mexico after President Claudia Sheinbaum declined assistance against cartels.
The US is monitoring Cuba, which Trump described as a failing state following reduced Venezuelan oil supplies.
Bitcoin rose around 3.35% from $89,990 to $93,000 after the Venezuela operation, according to CoinGecko.
Market analyst Crypto Rover said the swift capture of Maduro limited market disruption compared with past conflicts.
Trump also reiterated interest in Greenland, calling it vital for US national security.
Officials in Denmark and Norway again rejected any sale of Greenland and urged Trump to stop issuing threats.
