Minnesota officials said the FBI has denied them access to evidence in the investigation into the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good by a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.
Protests erupted in Minneapolis following the shooting, with demonstrators demanding accountability and transparency.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz accused the Trump administration of excluding state authorities from the probe.
It feels now that Minnesota has been taken out of the investigation.

The FBI confirmed it is leading the investigation, after initially agreeing to a joint probe with the state.
Minnesota’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said it had withdrawn after being denied access to case materials and evidence.
Federal officials claimed the ICE agent acted in self defence, while state officials said Good posed no immediate threat.
US Vice-President JD Vance said the case is a federal matter and local involvement would break precedent.
Vigils and largely peaceful protests continued across Minneapolis as residents mourned Good and called for justice.
Legal experts warned that excluding state authorities could undermine public trust in the investigation.
