Boston Dynamics has revealed the production version of its Atlas humanoid robot at CES 2026, marking its first move from research demos to commercial deployment.
The company said manufacturing will begin immediately, with all Atlas deployments planned for 2026 already fully reserved.
Initial shipments will go to Hyundai facilities and Google DeepMind, with additional customers expected from 2027.
We’ve been working on humanoids for more than a decade at Boston Dynamics.
Zachary Jackowski said.
Jackowski said recent advances in artificial intelligence made it possible to take Atlas out of the laboratory and into real-world environments.
Atlas is designed for industrial tasks such as material handling and order fulfilment, with the ability to lift up to 110 pounds.
Boston Dynamics said the robot can operate autonomously for around four hours using dual swappable batteries.
The company is working with Google DeepMind to integrate advanced AI models to improve perception and task execution.
Hyundai Motor Group, which owns around 80% of Boston Dynamics, will play a key role in early deployments.
