Verity Resources (ASX:VRL) has secured exploration licence E39/2558 at its 100%-owned Monument Gold Project in Western Australia's prolific Laverton Goldfields, more than doubling the project’s footprint to approximately 405km2.
The Monument Gold Project already hosts a 3.3 Mt @ 1.4 g/t Au (154 koz) inferred mineral resource across the Korong (139 koz) and Waihi (15 koz) deposits, and features around 20 km of relatively untested banded iron formation interpreted to be part of the same unit as Genesis Minerals’ 1.4 Moz Westralia deposit.
Verity Director Patrick Volpe said the new tenure "covers highly prospective geology and provides immediate exploration opportunities," with systematic follow-up programs planned, including geophysical reviews, historic data compilation, and field reconnaissance to define priority drill targets across both BIF and intrusion-hosted structures.
To date, only 10% of the prospective 20km strike has been tested, highlighting significant upside for further gold discovery.
