UC San Diego Health, consistently ranked among the top 10 US institutions for Pulmonology & Lung Surgery, has commenced clinical use of 4DMedical’s (ASX:4DX) advanced respiratory imaging technology, CT:VQ.
UCSD becomes the fourth US academic medical center to adopt CT:VQ, joining Stanford, University of Miami, and Cleveland Clinic, just four months after the technology received FDA clearance.
Led by Dr. Jonathan Chung, Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging, UCSD's cardiothoracic imaging program will leverage CT:VQ to provide contrast-free, high-resolution functional lung imaging that complements traditional CT scans.
The deployment, initially under introductory pricing through March, underscores 4DMedical's commercial strategy of establishing reference sites at leading institutions to accelerate adoption, physician education, and clinical validation.
According to 4DMedical CEO Andreas Fouras, the rapid uptake at elite academic centers demonstrates both the transformative potential of CT:VQ and the strength of the company's go-to-market execution.
